May 1st, 2023 – LIMERICK RIVERFEST: Socializing, Fun, and Charity

Last weekend, the Limerick River became the venue for a wonderful event where the heart of the Slovenian community in Ireland shone in full glory. Limerick Riverfest 2023 was more than just a festival; it was a symbol of unity, fun, and charity, organized by our Shamrock Association.

Charitable Swim in the Shannon River

The highlight of the event was a charitable swim in the Shannon River, where Slovenian members of the association plunged into the river waters for a good cause. The swim was not just an adrenaline-pumping experience but also an opportunity to raise funds for those in need in the local community.

Slovenians Together in Ireland

The event was an excellent opportunity for Slovenians living and working in Ireland to socialize. Together, we enjoyed music, food, and culture, shared experiences, and got to know each other. For many participants, this was the first opportunity to meet other Slovenians in Ireland, which further emphasized the importance of the event.
